... Starting this past weekend, I have been spending each day a quite bit time to sort the photos on my Iphoto and backed them up both on external hard-drive and DVDs. Since I started documenting my outfits back in the end of April, I had made several attempts to organize those photos. The attempts came to a full stop in August due to the increasingly busier schedule and what happened was that a large accumulation of photos taken in the past several months had finally clustered my laptop hard-drive to merely 50GB ... which means that those lovely photos, average 3MG each, have somehow secretively piled up to over 100GB in merely 3 month-period.
... While I was deleting the already backed-up photos and witnessing my computer slowly climbed back to its lighter weight and more organized state, man, I can tell you that I almost were feeling that I was shedding the weight myself. It was simply a fantastic feeling .... The case to point: with ever increasing availability of everything in our day to day life, it has become more important to live a fresher, simpler, and more streamlined life. Having too many, storing too many, and piling up things in our life can turn our already hectic life into a such heavier state, in which I felt suffocated .... Naturally, while I was organizing the photos and came across this early summer look, I thought to myself that this was an example how I wanted my life to be: simple to the point with nothing too fussy and complicate! So, cheers for simplicity in life! Whether or not I can convince myself to actually live such a life, it is always a celebratory movement to keep on making my attempts :D
I was wearing a white eyelet trimmed cotton top with thin lace detail from TopShop with a white Vanessa Bruno scoop neck light sweat-shirt, mens light denim from UnoCosa, summer favorite canvas volleyball sneakers from Brazil, woven bag from Marc by Marc Jacob and shades from Chloé.
XOXO ~

Ooooh. Love the white eyelet top. And what a point you made -- about living a fresher, simpler life. I agree wholeheartedly. Now, I just have to put this philosophy into action!!
I totally agree! It feel so nice, and so refreshing when you get your life and stuff back in order. I felt that way when I cleaned out my closet--finally I came face to face with all the junk I had accumulated and just how stuffy it was making my life.
So congrats to you for organizing your photos and cleaning up your hard drive!
And you look beautiful in white...and very tan!
My computer is so disorganized, but I finally organized all my word documents for classes. Pictures will come another day.
I love your look, it's so perfect for those lazy days. I call myself effortless chic. I don't ever think of what I put on. It's when I think about what to wear that I look a mess. I should not be doing this right now. Oh well.
Yeah! thank you for the reminder! and definitly easyer said than done!
I love your easy style! ESP your shoes... they look comfortable and loved!

U look stunning in white hun!!!! Luv that u sorted everything out, u always feel lighter and better!!! Hope u having a stunning day!! xxxx
I love the combination of denim and white eyelet, too! Those additional casual items pair really well to that - and I love the pop pf color in that MJ bag.
For some reason I'm not that bothered about data clutter... ...i see that as a sort of sedimentation of my work (and hobbies) - and I love to dig in to it time to time. But the real life clutter is really bad. I don't enjoy 100% minimalistic environments... ...but when the stuff starts taking over that's the worst thing to happen, it really suffocates me.
Love the detail and layering of the tops! And this post has inspired me to organise my computer as well :)
Your white eyelet top and bun are so gorgeous!!

This reminded me that I urgently need to back up my photos too because my computer is running out of space - I can't believe photo files are so big ...
The TopShop top is perfection, I'd wear it to Venice in summer.

i really love how you layered the whites!
LOVE your blog! You are true artist when it comes to styling.
That many photos huh? wow, must've been a pain getting rid of them. I know exactly how you feel. I didn't start to clean and organize my things after I moved back home from college until 6 months after! It felt great to be able to find my things and just not have clutter everywhere. I had to get rid of a lot of things when I came back but going through the things and thinking back on the memories that exist around them were great times.
Such a great casual look. Love the layering!

i love the simplicity and mobility in this outfit. i can relate to what you're saying in a different way, i'm interested in so many things and sometimes i get bogged down and feel like abandoning it all.
The shirt is really really cute. *
