... Velizar bought me this Mango purple dress last summer when he was on tour in Europe. He is one of those boys who actually love fashion and has a very good taste, different from me but good! He would pick up things that I normally would not go for it but would fall in love with. This dress is a good example as it is definitely my number one "go-to" choice when I am in need for some saturated hues. I love the all over watercolor-floral pattern and cinched waist. The front pleats and side pockets turned out to be quite functional as well... In this look, apparently, I was in a "sea of purple hue mood". When it comes to colors, I will say that the shades lying anywhere from powder pink, purplish blue to deep burgundy could be my top choices. I like the visual richness of those hues when several of them were smashed together randomly. It's like creating new shade when mixing several painting colors together. Normally, I am not picky about the color(s) of a single item but how the overall palette of the outfit would turn out.

For the rest of the outfit, there was a vintage hand crotched caplet worn over the dress as well as a boy vintage windbreaker that I took as the outer piece. The leather boots in burgundy is from Sigerson Morrison and head piece is vintage scarf from India.

i love it when that happens. in fact, my most recent outfit on chictopia was something bought by my mother. i thought it was too girly for me until one day i couldn't think of anything to wear.

I love all the mix of purples (one of my favorite colors)! The crocheted top definitely adds some texture to the outfit.
