THE TRAFFIC

... If I told you that New York morning is so dynamic that I am going to do a 4 consecutive posts from one photo shoot session, will you believe me??

... The idea came originally from my desire to create posts that gravitate more toward to the editorial style. When you look through a magazine, you will notice many editorial stories consist several outfits with one centralized theme or trend. Since, at this point, we took our photos mostly in the morning on my way to work, changing outfit definitely was out of question. So, instead of doing multiple looks like most of editorial stories are, I decide that we will do one-outfit stories with multiple locations that will capture a typical New York winter morning from different aspects. Fortunately, winter makes this idea much easier to execute since I have multiple layers on and, for sure, we can get at least 2 stories out of one day outfit: one would be with the coat and one was to show the inner pieces. And for the rest of the posts (I am ambitious as I planned to do a four-part mini series), well, you will just have to see ;-)))

THE NEW YORK MORNING: PART ONE
THE TRAFFIC

STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD,
CARS, BICYCLES, CARRIAGES AND PEOPLE
PASSING BY ME LEFT AND RIGHT
NEW YORK MORNING HAS NO ROOM FOR STOPPING
JUST KEEP WALKING, I WAS WARNED

I enjoy the simple one outfit in many places. It shows how this look can work in all sort of areas of life. Not to mention, I would love to wander around and take photos.

That is a great scarf - especially that pattern against your white coat. Wait a minute. How the heck do you have a white coat in NYC?

you look great here, white fur looks so cute.
and ny mornings can be pretty hectic and the pics kind of depict that.

Yeap, that's NY in the morning - but my main question is: How do you manage to look so lovely that early in the day? I just look like a puffball... Sabine x

I cannot wait to see the rest! I love the smell of New York mornings! Exhaust and all. My morning are the complete opposite of this. They're very quiet and mostly still - I even work in downtown OKC and everything is so quiet as I get in.

Great photography! That's so ambitious of you to do 4 "stories" and editorial style indeed. The photos are stunning. I really love the action in the background, that seems somewhat photographically hard to achieve.

Hiya Lily,
I simply adore the white coat! wish I had the guts to wear one! but I can't stand the sight of a stain... and knowing myself...
The contrasted detailing of the scarf is sublime!
