... With Christmas just right around the corner, many of us have been gotten stressful with all gift packing, food cooking, dress preparing, and, of course, amongst all, still squeezing all the hours at work. So, I am presenting you several dose of tranquility that were actually captured amongst all the traffics, morning chaos and rushes as you were able to see from the previous two installments of my four part mini series, The New York Morning "Coffee. To Go, Please" and "The Traffic". Obvious, the message is simple (yet, of course, hard to achieve :D): finding the moments of peace, no matter how brief they might be, and take a bit time to enjoy the process though things are getting crazier and crazier!

... Before continuing the rest of two posts of New York Morning as I planned to, I am going to dedicate today's post to the very first snow storm in New York City this winter. As high anticipated as the Christmas itself (at least for me :D), I think most of you have been hearing the New Yorkers talking about the possible snows for weeks now. Well, I guess all those talks did not really go to waste as we finally had the beautiful white snow stared on this past Saturday and last till early part of net morning. By the time I waked up on Sunday, my eyes were simply charmed by this sea of white snow everywhere ...

... On another note: as expected as this final falling of snow, I also fell prey to the wildly spread winter cold, or something like that. The level of cold rose and fell throughout last week. So as soon as the weekend came, I went to my usual route of fighting the illness by literally going to a 2-day hibernation, except I could not completely resist the charm of white snow so we did managed to make a brief trip to Dumbo on Sunday afternoon for some winter sun light, tons of snow, cup of Moroccan macchiato, delicious Vietnamese spring roll and noodle soup!!!

I was wearing a wool plaid parka with faux fur lining from Prince & Portobello, vintage leather vest with rabbit fur lining (I wore the lining out most of time), suede hat (the name just scape my mind ...), white turtle neck sweater, tee and tanks from Juicy Couture, straight leg denim from Notify, my winter boots from Temberlant and suede bag from Marc Jacob.

... Finally, 2 quick updates:
[1] Kurarin and Sissy, 2 of my very dear friends who I got to know through my blog, both started their personal style blogs this month. Please go to visit their sites and show some loveeeee :-) I think you will find them very darling to get to know!!

[2] Amy and Alex from Refuses to Label was really kind enough to award me with the Beautiful Blogger Award awhile ago. I want to thank these 2 precious girls for their love!!!! If you are interest in those facts, you can go to my Chictopian blog for some sweet reveals :-) as I did a post about a month ago for the same award!!! Also, Amy and Alex is doing a holiday giveaway on their site for Christmas. So, if you love to get you hands on an handmade ethnic necklace from Africa, don't forget to visit their site and join the giveaway!

... Yes, yes, me and my coffee ... what can I say? It is the permanent part of my morning routine!! Walking and drinking is the only way to fully wake myself up. Beside, this part of day can, sometimes, be the only time I am under the day light, so I try my best to enjoy it as much as I can! Today's photos were actually taken before and after yesterday's shots. They were around Columbus Circle, right by Central Park. Basically, we started our route on the West side where The Shops at Columbus Circle locates and made our way to the 6th avenue, then down to garment district where my office locates.

I was wearing white vintage faux fur coat, black wool scarf with hand-crochet details. The cropped quilted pants were one of my winter favorites for years. It had a matching Mandarin jacket that my mother asked me to purchase and I refused, which I still regretted till these days. The boots were vintage and the bag was from Foley & Corinna.

THE TRAFFIC

... If I told you that New York morning is so dynamic that I am going to do a 4 consecutive posts from one photo shoot session, will you believe me??

... The idea came originally from my desire to create posts that gravitate more toward to the editorial style. When you look through a magazine, you will notice many editorial stories consist several outfits with one centralized theme or trend. Since, at this point, we took our photos mostly in the morning on my way to work, changing outfit definitely was out of question. So, instead of doing multiple looks like most of editorial stories are, I decide that we will do one-outfit stories with multiple locations that will capture a typical New York winter morning from different aspects. Fortunately, winter makes this idea much easier to execute since I have multiple layers on and, for sure, we can get at least 2 stories out of one day outfit: one would be with the coat and one was to show the inner pieces. And for the rest of the posts (I am ambitious as I planned to do a four-part mini series), well, you will just have to see ;-)))

I LOVE

SECRÉTIVITÉ PARTY RECAP
LOOKING THROUGH MY EYES

... I decided earlier on that I would undertake the job of photographer for Friday night's party since Velizar would be mostly behind the deck. Quite frankly, I was getting a bit bored at being the main subject in front of camera for the blog. So, switching the position with Velizar for the night was a very good thing. Nautrally, you won't be seeing much of me in this post except the very last one, taken by Velizar between mixing the tracks. I will certainly do a post sometime soon with the outfit I wore for the night!!! Now, without any further elaborations, please join me for a photo-recap of our Friday night SECRÉTIVITÉ Party in Lower East Side, New York.
